Heavy Duty - 124 2012

As we go to press, word has filtered through regarding Harleys 2012 model lineup. Going by documents published on the California EPA website we can deduce that the Rocker and Crossbones have both been discontinued from the Softail lineup, as has the Street Glide version of the Trike. However, there are two new models listed. One is called the Switchback, a Dyna based model for occasional touring use (a la Dyna Convertible from the 90s?) and the Night Rod Special Anniversary which will mark the tenth year of the V-Rod. The really big news however, is that the 103 cube motor will be available on some of the Dynas, probably the Wide Glide, Switchback and Fat Bob models as well as the whole Softail range and all the Tourers. CVO bikes retain the 110 motor from previous years. So it looks like the 2012 bikes have a bit to offer. We'll have to wait and see how the Aussie models are specced (and priced)
